Southern Soldier Antiques owner, Jason Humphries (above right) has been around antiques and auctions since he was knee high to a grasshopper. Many an evening was spent at the local auction houses of Hampton Roads, Virginia such as Eddy's Auction House formerly on Canal Drive. It was here that his grandfather, Charles Wright introduced him to the world of antiques and fast talking funny men. After graduating from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. with a BS in Psychology and Communications Jason then attended and graduated top of his class at Mendenhall’s School of Auctioneering in High Point, NC. Jason now conducts auctions all along the east coast in Virginia and North Carolina and specializes in civil war items, antiques, and fine furniture.
